Rob Senter, Nunavut, 2005
Rare Opportunity
April 6, 2006

Rob Senter (right) was able to go on a rare hunt this past summer. Only in the last few years has it been possible to begin harvesting Atlantic walrus again. Permits are difficult to obtain, and only a few non-native permits are even available. Even so, parts of the animal, if harvested by a U.S. citizen, are not able to be legally imported at this time, and must remain in Canada. Rob's hunt took place in Foxe Basin, and the bull was reportedly officially scored at 95-4/8, 4/8 above the minimum all-time score.
