Tim Bradach 2009
Minnesota moose surprise
February 9, 2010

While shed hunting in northern Minnesota, Tim Bradach came upon a unique find. It appeared that these two bull moose became locked together during the rut and subsequently expired.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources issued Tim a possession permit for both sets of antlers. It is possible that both moose will make the Minnesota Record Book.

Minnesota is home to the Canada subspecies of moose. Hunting opportunities are limited to a once-in-a-lifetime draw for residents only.

Most state game agencies will issue possession permits for "picked up" skulls of antlered game. Boone and Crockett Club does accept these trophies when they are legally possessed or owned by the state. These trophies serve as a record of conservation success in the state.
