New World's Record Antelope
November 11, 2002

TW UPDATE: a Special Judges Panel declared this pronghorn the new World’s Record on May 24, 2003. The entry score of 95 held as the Final Official Score.

David Meyer hunted the Arizona Strip in Mohave County to take what is currently the pending new World's Record antelope. After the required 60 day drying period the buck was scored by Boone and Crockett Official Measurer Ralph Stayner at 95 even. This surpasses the current World's Record taken by Michael J. O'Haco in 1985 from Coconino County, Arizona. Michael's buck scored 93-4/8. Pending World's Record entries are not official until reviewed by a Boone and Crockett Club Special Judges Panel. David's buck will be invited to this panel, which is scheduled to meet during the summer of 2003. We'll keep you posted.
