TROPHY WATCH - ARCHIVE - DETAILS

Matt McDonough, WI 2006
First Time's a Charm
March 29, 2007

Matt McDonough was on his first-ever bear hunt in Barron County, Wisconsin this past fall when he happened onto this giant bruin. Scoring 21-4/16, this great trophy is large enough to make the all-time records book. Matt's tremendous trophy was accepted by B&C on March 12, 2007. Congratulations, Matt, on a fine trophy.

Wisconsin and Pennsylvania routinely keep their place at the top of the heap when it comes to black bears. Both states not only produce the largest numbers of trophy black bears, but also the largest specimens listed in B&C.
