John Stafford, CO 2005
Good Things Take Time
January 22, 2006

After sportsmen's efforts and money put moose in Colorado, the Colorado Department of Wildlife began offering limited tags in 1985. For the next 21 years, John Stafford faithfully put in.
In 2005, shortly after back surgery, John was informed he had finally drawn a permit in Eagle County. He wasn't to be dissuaded, and worked hard to earn this great trophy. John's big Shiras moose officially scored 182-3/8, making it the new # 3 in Colorado.
