Pennsylvania 2011
PA One To Many
January 11, 2012

This buck was illegally taken in Lancaster County, PA on a previously used buck tag - one antlered deer per season per hunter, per license in PA.

Since the deer is considered trophy class under Game Commission regulations the offender faces up to 90 days jail time and an enhanced fine of $6,500. In cooperation with the Club, several states use the Boone and Crockett scoring system to access higher fines for illegally taken wildlife.

The buck is reported to green score 172-4/8, which would be #14 all-time for the Keystone State.

The only way an illegally taken animal would be accepted and recognized in B&C records is if it was confiscated and owned by a state agency, and entered on behalf of the citizens of that state. Poacher's name is not listed.
