Tom Behunin 2011
CO P&Y Bull
September 26, 2011

Tom Behunin arrowed this Shiras' bull recently scored by P&Y Official Measurer, Marv Clynke at 185, just 6/8 short of the archery World's Record and 9-inches past the current CO state record archery bull.

Shiras’ moose were introduced to Colorado for the first time in 1976. Since then, 63 Shiras’ moose trophies have been accepted from Colorado by B&C. This is what B&C’s records-keeping is all about – tracking the successes of wildlife conservation efforts. The first B&C bull was killed in 1987, about 11 years after the initial transplant, and six were killed alone in 2009. (Only 2 in 2010.) Moose have spread around the state and have been taken in 9 different counties since the initial transplant. If this bulls score holds up at 185 points, it would be #3 for Colorado in B&C’s records, and it would tie for 20th place in B&C.
