Melvin Kreul 2010
Wisconsin Hunting Heals
December 26, 2012

It was the regular deer gun season in WI 2010, when I harvested my first Boone and Crockett buck. I stayed in my tree stand all day, waiting for this buck to come by. He came out of the woods late in the afternoon on the first day of the season. He was about 150 yards and I was fortunate to connect when I shot my 30-06.

It was my first time back whitetail hunting since I had a quadruple by-pass in December of 2009. This 13-point buck netted 160-2/8 B&C, and was listed in the WI Buck and Bear Club magazine as the biggest buck shot during the 2010 gun deer season in Iowa County, Wisconsin. Just 6 days later, I was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm, fortunately I survived that surgery and I am here to tell you of my experience. I do believe God was with me all the time for this to happen to me.
