Tod Reichert, NM 2007
Giant New Mexico Non-typical Elk
February 13, 2008

Tod Reichert took this huge bull elk on a hunt this past fall in New Mexico. This bull, taken on the New Mexico Governor's tag, is rumored to score near 440 points. With the incredible tine length on the first half of the rack, this bull is up there with the biggest elk on the continent.

B&C's minimum score for non-typical American elk is 385, for both the All-time and Awards Period minimums. This category, initiated during the 20th Awards Program, has had 251 entries accepted to date. New Mexico has 22 of those trophies - second only to Arizona, with 65.
