Gene Wensel, 2004
Lifetime Achievement
May 12, 2005

Gene Wensel was fortunate enough to take the biggest buck of his life this past month. He had hunted this buck for two years with his bow, and could have taken him with a rifle. He chose instead to videotape the animal he affectionately named "Woody." Gene was finally able to put all the pieces together and take this fantastic buck with his bow on 12-30-04.
This buck is reported to have a 30" greatest spread, is a 10x9, and may score over 220 B&C. He also has a 25-1/2" inside spread.
Gene writes, "He was a fee-ranging wild deer, taken 100% Fair Chase. Since I'm down to a quarter tank now, I'm sure Woody will be the biggest buck of my life. I plan on entering him in the records book after sixty days. He deserves the respect as a magnificent animal."
Well said, Gene, and congratulations on the buck of several lifetimes.

UPDATE: Gene's breathtaking whitetail officially scored 222-7/8 as a non-typical whitetail. It is a 9x10, with 46-1/8 inches of abnormal points.
