From apex predators like grizzly bears to feisty striped skunks, the Boone and Crockett Club’s Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Ranch on Montana’s Rocky Mountain Front is a wildlife melting pot. You can see a small sampling of those full-time residents here.    

The ranch has dozens of wildlife trail cams set in key locations.

In 1995, the Club created a nature trail in the heart of the TRM Ranch in conjunction with a project known as Watchable Wildlife. The trail project was accomplished with the help of many people of all ages who shared a common vision and share the sense of uniqueness of this piece of Montana. Because of the efforts of these people, others will be able to appreciate this vast landscape.

Sportsmen of the late 1800s were witness to the “Era of Extermination” of the nation’s wildlife and were the first to demand change. Most citizens were largely unaware that after unregulated and relentless killing, the nation’s wildlife was in grave condition.
