Boone and Crockett Club Applauds Passage of Modern Fish Act

The Boone and Crockett Club today, reflecting on the historic leadership role sportsmen have played in wildlife conservation, applauded the passage of the Modern Fish Act.

In the closing days of the 115th Congress, both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives passed S.1520, the Modernizing Recreational Fisheries Management Act of 2017 (Modern Fish Act).

The Boone and Crockett Club, the oldest wildlife conservation group in the U.S., today praised the Senate's passage of the Natural Resources Management Act (S. 47), a bipartisan package of bills that includes several key pieces of the Sportsmen's Act.

FAIR CHASE, as defined by the Boone and Crockett Club, is the ethical, sportsmanlike, and lawful pursuit and taking of any free-ranging wild game animal in a manner that does not give the hunter an improper or unfair advantage over the game animals.
