Washington, DC: The date and location for potentially the most important meeting for the future of wildlife conservation and hunting has been set.

The stories behind the biggest Alaskan-Yukon moose in the Boone and Crockett Records 

A mature Alaskan-Yukon bull moose can stand more than six feet tall at the shoulder. Its antlers alone can easily weigh more than 60 pounds.

MISSOULA, Mont. (July 28, 2022) – The Boone and Crockett Club announced that SITKA Gear has continued its support of the Club as a Trailblazer in Conservation through a 3-year affinity partnership. SITKA has been a Trailblazer sponsor since 2015 and is a staunch supporter of the Club’s mission.

On August 16, 2007, driven by the concerns of the sportsmen and conservation communities, President George W. Bush signed an Executive Order that called for federal agencies to facilitate the expansion and enhancement of hunting opportunities and the management of game species and their habitat.

Hunters can have their trophies scored by Boone and Crockett Club Official Measurers during special August events at Cabela's retail stores around the country.

Official scoring will be offered Aug. 23-24 at all 28 Cabela’s locations:

The chair will enhance the opportunities for research in the Warner College of Natural Resources' Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology and encourage the creation of collaborations to solve state, national and international issues facing wildlife populations.

The ranch is where Roosevelt developed his staunch conservation ethic and vision. Rugged and scenic, the land was purchased from willing sellers, the Eberts family, and transferred to the U.S. Forest Service in 2007. It was a landmark success following a two-year campaign led by Boone and Crockett Club with critical partnership from the Elk Foundation.
