Outdoor Adventure Camp – Information for Campers

Here's What You'll Need To Pack

We're so excited to have you at the Rasmuson Wildlife Conservation Center! Here's a general list of things to pack, remember there's no such thing as bad weather at our Outdoor Adventure Camps—We go out rain or shine!

  • A variety of clothes for warm, cold, and wet weather (jeans, shorts, sweater, t-shirts)
  • Warm coat
  • Rain gear
  • Good hiking shoes (sturdy tennis shoes or hiking/trail shoes)
  • Swimsuit
  • Water shoes (old tennis shoes or sandals for wading in water)
  • Baseball cap and sunglasses
  • Sleeping bag
  • Toothbrush, toothpaste, and other toiletries
  • Warm hat and gloves
  • Towel and washcloth
  • Day pack (25-35 liters)
  • Headlamp
  • Water bottles (recommend two 1-liter bottles)
  • ALL campers must come with a valid MT fishing license

Here's what a week at camp looks like...

DAY 1: Arrive. Get orientated, meet new friends, and find your room!

DAY 2: Learn to fly flish, get in some hiking as we explore Dupuyer Creek and learn about the Rocky Mountain Front.

DAY 3: Shooting Sports Day! Evening arts and crafts, fly tying and explore the Nature Lab.

DAY 4: Adventure Day! Who knows what activities we could get into?

DAY 5: Depart. All good things must eventually come to an end...
