1. The Skipper, Too

This photo appears in Robert Anderson’s book Great Rams III, but he admits he has no idea who is depicted here or what is happening. Anderson found the photo in an old trunk that belonged to the one and only Jack O’Connor. Even without context, it’s a killer photo!

2. World Famous Deadhead

Rene Paul "Frenchy" Lamoureux was a renowned Alaska guide and outfitter. This photo of Frenchy with a Dall’s ram deadhead was likely taken in the late 1950s or early ‘60s.

3. Smile, You're Hunting

Tony Oney (right) was an Alaskan on a mission to kill a desert bighorn in the Baja desert in 1968. Mission accomplished.

5. City Dump Sheep

Ethyl Hills (pictured) was hunting with friends in the fall of 1923 when Alberta outfitter Cam Matthews killed this massive bighorn. With the sixth-largest Stone’s sheep in the records, Joseph Shirk traveled to Prophet River, British Columbia, from Peru, Indiana, to hunt big Stone’s. We’d say the trip was worth it.

10. The Marlboro Ram

Back in the fall of ‘72, Dale Leonard went hunting in the San Borja Mountains of Baja. On the third day of his hunt, he killed this great desert ram with a .270.
